 SOW, IncThe mission of SOW, Inc is to assist people in obtaining food, shelter, and work in order to co-exist in a civilized society. Sow is an organization that believes in the "teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime" philosophy. Our hope is for all of their clients to have the ability to reach his or her full potential. Westminster groups volunteer with SOW, Inc regularly.
The Day Shelter
Sow,Inc has opened it's day shelter in down town Rome Georgia. This location is within walking distance for the majority of the street people and provides them a safe place to find assistance or nourishment. SOW offers many services and enjoy our daily interactions with our clients.
 They strive to create an environment of support and encouragement for their clients, staff, and volunteers. Many of their clients even assisted with the renovation of the day shelter giving them an increased sense of pride and ownership. Each day SOW's clients come visit their facility for bus passes, personal items, internet access, food or drink, prescription pay assistance, and one on one sessions with staff members.
