Helping Hands

We have some wonderful volunteers who are willing to provide services for those in our congregation needing either temporary or on going assistance. The needs could range from small home repair work, a driver to help you get somewhere, wanting some company and a friend to visit with, or sitting with a loved one who needs care while you run errands.

If interested contact Laura Murray at 706-232-7206.

Need Encouragement to Exercise

We are looking for ideas and for people who may be willing to conduct one class just to whet our appetites! Perhaps you attend a fitness class in town and would be willing to teach some techniques you have learned to a group at church. Perhaps you could ask your instructor if they would be willing to volunteer to conduct a class for us. We are hoping that during the course of a series of “sample” classes we will find one or two classes that suit those participating. From these we hope to form more permanent, weekly exercise groups.

If interested contact Laura Murray at 706-232-7206.

Family Game Night
Since this is our only covered dish meal for the summer, why not come and join us on Friday, July 18 at 5pm in Westminster Hall. So, whether or not you are a game player or not, come for the meal and fellowship and bring along a healthy dish. Beverages will be supplied and bring your favorite game if you like.

Community Health Fair
We will be showing off our new facilities and provide a great service to our community. Full Body Angio Screens and Bone Scans have already been booked. We'll keep you posted as the list expands. We need volunteers for that day as well. We will need lots of help especially since this will be advertised throughout the community.
